Sunday night at the Ortons' house is one of my favorite parts of the week. Every week, there's always a little group of us playing games, watching movies, and eating treats in their cozy home. This week, though, we decided to make our OWN movie. So, inspired by World War Z (our movie of choice earlier in the summer), Alex whipped up a story board, we ghetto-rigged an overhead camera with a sock, a belt, and a straw, mixed up our own chocolate sauce/red food coloring blood, and got to work. And here's the finished product:
I sure do love these goofy friends of mine.

Ogden Temple open house
Saturday afternoon was lovely. The Ortons and I drove to Ogden and met up with Elizabeth and the Gramolls to go to the Ogden Temple open house!
The last temple open house I went to was the Orlando Temple's in 1994. Needless to say, I don't remember much- just that the little white booties they have you wear on your feet to keep the floors clean were HUGE on me because I refused to go through the line with anyone but my uncle Jeff.
The Ogden Temple is SO beautiful. This was my first time seeing anything but the baptistry inside a temple, and I was in awe. I'm even more excited now to go through the temple for myself later this year! I'll definitely want to come back to Ogden to do a temple session there.
After the open house, Elizabeth and the Ortons and I went across the street to Farr's Ice Cream, which has been there for over 80 years, and was wayyy good. And then the Ortons and I headed over to Marissa and Josh's house for grilling out, catching up, and adoring their precious lil' babe. It all made for a wonderful day!
If you're interested in going to the open house, it's going on until September 6th, and you can reserve tickets here. Everyone is welcome, temple recommend/church membership or not, so you should definitely try to go! It will be well worth your time.
